About Me

I am a self-taught multi-disciplinary jeweller currently living in south Derbyshire. Following a second redundancy from a corporate job I decided to pursue a creative career again. I have made jewellery since my early twenties, working with various materials like pearls and beads as well as selling vintage pieces. Working from my home studio, I am now using specialist skills in metal casting such as sand casting, metal clay, torch-firing and stone setting, which I have taught myself over the last few months of 2025. I am just at the beginning of my new adventure and hope you will follow my journey with interest and watch me grow and develop my techniques!

I have always had a "why not" attitude and jumped into opportunities - whether creative, academic or career wise! I love teaching myself new skills and solving problems. Some facts about me - I was born in the USA, have lived in 4 different countries, have two degrees (one in Broadcast Journalism and one in Law), I briefly worked in television, have worked in food manufacturing and specialist recruitment. I am a wife and a mum to two boys and currently live in south Derbyshire and work from my studio at home.
